Great lil unit

I play 9 holes most mornings, alternate between front and back. Unit always knows where I'm. Doesnt matter if I start on 1 or 3. Some days the front kicks my butt so I try to get my revenge the following day. Unit always knows where I'm at. Doesn't pick up where I left off.

Great battery life and better generation!

This is my second GPS unit as well as I have a GPS enabled Garmin rangefinder. I can play 5 to 6 rounds of golf without having to charge this unit and it gives very accurate front, middle back yardages. Wonderful improvement as the newer generation of this type of Garmin product.

Love The Gadget, Hate The App

Getting used to the G12 is easy. It is easy to read and getting it back on track is a snap. It changes holes without me needing to tell it. I love the gadget, but the Android Garmin Golf app is a stinker. I thought the Garmin Golf app would be a replacement for the free app I'm using but sadly it is not the case. I would love to see Garmin partner with a 3rd party app that gets great reviews and ditch the Garmin Golf app OR (just a thought) code a new app that rivals the free ones.

Great battery life

Have been using this for five rounds of golf. Still holding some charge. I replaced a talking gps which died (I miss the talking feature) but the approach does have more features.
The learning curve was not too bad, reading the included manual helped.

The Garmin Approach

The ability to know precise yardage helps me to select the right club to play and takes all the guess work of club selection out of the process ! I can just play!!
