Garmin's Handheld GPS Receivers are flawless. This is my 3rd one. It has tremendous battery life and is very easy to use.

I purchased this unit in the spring to replace a model 62st that I used for years. The issue I had with it was that it would often create double waypoints, which became corrupted if I attempted to delete one. Numerous calls to your technical people could not resolve the issue.
The 65s has not had that problem and I enjoy the new features. However, I've had limited opportunity to use it so far this year.

The machine is great. The menu choices are not that intuitive(for a former etex30 user).

GPSMAP 65s

I've owned 62's and 64's so this was an easy decision to go the 65s. I'm impressed so far for field accuracy and the clarity of the screen for City Navigator navigation. The ability to get an almost immediate satellite lock even inside my home is impressive.

Great Accuracy!

The Garmin 65s GPS receiver is compact and fits comfortably in men’s standard front pockets. However, it consumes alkaline batteries rapidly while navigating. It supports expandable memory through a microSD card slot, allowing for up to 32GB of additional maps and data. The receiver is multi-band capable and can receive most international satellite transmissions, making it useful in densely forested areas and canyons worldwide. Accuracy varies between 2.0 and 10 meters, depending on the terrain and satellite reception.

Worse maps

This is my 3rd Garmin handheld GPS I have GPSmap60Cx and GPSMAPS64st.The map on the GPS 60 the where add to the chip and 64 came with the unit. The 65's map are the worst they lack detail streams are missing even named ones. This not good for search and rescue work. There are maps to South and central America a place I will never go. There some much add that when a tried to do an update I was told there was no room. That I would need to add a memory card. This is the first time the i am not happy with a Garmin Product.

Have had the GPS 4-5 weeks. The set up was easy, the unit has new features that work good. Starting back in 2007 I bought my first Garmin handheld GPS. Have enjoyed Garmin GPS's ever since. Used the handhelds for Geocaching.
