Bought this as an open box. It will not work for a refresh rate higher than 60Hz without making flickering lines on the screen. Tested on two Nvidia Graphics, called Acer customer service and they advised me to return it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent monitor

Using as a second PC monitor that allows me to have 2 documents side by side for reviews or a much larger view of an excel sheet. Could easily use for Netflix too with a WiFi speaker as sound source.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Under $250 31.5inch and 165hz this is a steal! This isn't high end monitor but if you just want a bigger screen and faster refresh rate this is it.for daily tasks this is more than enough.
I would recommend if you are in the market for a bigger screen either for work or console gaming.

We're absolutely stunning monitor I went from my big 4K TV to this and I'm in heaven DisplayPort so you can get maximum Hz

This monitor is great. Having nothing bad to say about it. A very good value for the money. Good picture quality and no flicker. Very clear text excellent for for home office. Takes the stress of the eyes.

Really good at the price

It supports 144hz out of the box for HDMI & DP, you can overclock it to get the advertised 165hz ONLY with DP. Only problem I have had with this monitor is the buttons are super flimsy, by simply pressing the buttons a little to hard has pushed the power button so far in that i can no longer use the button.. just be gentle with this one
