Long lasting battery

I bought my 40 volt Greenworks pole saw over a month ago to trim the trees around my driveway. Since then I have used it several times on my one acre property and I'm always surprised how long the battery will last. The chain has maintained its sharpness and it cuts very well. This is my second Greenworks tool and it probably won't be my last I love them!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Absolutely no support getting replacement parts

I need a small screw and base that tighten the chain. Can't get part anywhere. Chainsaw is now worthless. I fell about the same with the company that refuses to support customers with replacement parts.

Broke immediately

The hedge trimmer attachment broke within minutes. It sounds like a broken or stuck gear. It appears that they don’t sell the attachment separately. This will be my last Greenworks purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needed extended length to maintain shrubs and trees. Having owned a Greenworks trimmer for two years, I had no reservations about buying this set. Works great..

It's not too heavy.

I bought this a year ago. I'm female, 80, and not a lumberjack. Went out yesterday and cut several hanging limbs and dead branches that were hindering lawn work, etc. Easily added the oil, and got it working without a hitch. Tried it with the extension last year, and that was a little too clumsy for me to handle, but for me it's great at the basic length. I'd definitely recommend it. The directions are good. It's easy to add the oil. It's easy to put on and off the battery. I have arthritis. If my hands can handle this, I think most people could. No, I don't earn a living cutting down trees; but, for the cutting I need that's too large for loppers or hand cutters, this is perfect.

Great features with the two in one

I have used the saw and trimmer and both are great. The best is the trimmer and that it allows you to move the head in different positions. I wished I had this years ago. The time and effort it has saved with trimming high bushes.

Lousy Battery and Charger

I bought this a year ago, battery does not hold charge well what so ever. Charger that came with unit stop charging at the end of 1 year. Got replacement and it stopped working at 6 months, next charger lasted 3 months. Saw itself worked fine, battery and charger are worthless

Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Please note that our GreenWorks batteries and chargers are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
