Greenworks 40v chainsaw model csf403

Bought this chainsaw last labor day, have used it 5 or 6 times. Now after pulling both triggers to engage the saw it will shut off after about 15 to 20 seconds, have to pull the trigger again to get it going again. Now this is all it will do. Work for 15 to 20 seconds then shut off. Called greenworks customer service, they cant do anything for me being that i have used an after market battery. Love the way they stand behind their products. Wont buy another greenworks product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We advise our customers to only use Greenworks branded battery and not a third party off brand battery. Greenworks will not be liable for any issues an aftermarket off-brand battery may cause to your Greenworks tools and will void any and all warranty claims for your Greenworks tools. Greenworks will stand behind our product when it’s our product. We do not stand behind third party products as they are not tested nor manufactured by Greenworks.

it's okay

I've been using this chainsaw for the past 2 years. It works well. My one complaint would be that the battery needs to be charged frequently if you have lots of trees or limbs to cut.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i got this as a housewarming gift for my new home and used it to trim the trees in our yard and to cut up some old wood in the yard for firewood. It was very easy to use and not too heavy. Its a great product and made a great gift. wasnt too familiar with the brand before this

Easy and safe to handle

I've used it during several group service projects and always have at least one guy ask where they can get one. It's powerful and easy to use. A lot less vibration than a gas chainsaw.

Good quiet saw

I bought one of these saws and ended up buying a second one. This is a great little saw to keep in your 4 wheeler to cut out trails and it has good power. I could work at least an hour with it.

Better Than Gas

I own one of these and a limb saw. Both are strong and dependable. They work every bit as well if not better than gas powered equipment. Would not have anything else. Have had to cut down several large oaks and it wasn't a problem. Batteries last a very long time and recharge in no time at all. Great equipment.
