Extremely Powerful

I just bought 2 of these Chainsaws last month. I keep one at home for trimming my many trees and the second one I carry in my truck which is used to cut driftwood at the ocean which I used in my wood carving hobby. These saws are lightweight and very powerful and the 40V batteries and chargers are great. Battery life is very long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I went through 2 Greenworks chainsaws from 2 different vendors. Neither chainsaw worked!! Batteries were fully charged, neither saw ever turned on. I retuned everything for full credit and loss of faith in Greenworks. I bought another saw from another company. It worked the first and every time since. Greenworks proved to be a bitter disappointment!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great tool and quiet!

I bought this tool after a major storm rolled through to help with cleanup. I cut enough wood to pile a face cord and I think I only charged the battery twice. The best part was my neighbors didn't know I was doing anything because they didn't hear anything.

When pulling the trigger, the saw chain begins slowly. Apparently a safety feature. Any pressure applied making cuts into, say, a 12 inch diameter log will stall the chain. You need to baby it. Don't discard your gas chainsaw.

If you're looking for a product more comparable to the power of gas, we would recommend taking a look at our 80V line of tools; we do not think you'll be disappointed.
