[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tired of spending more time maintaining/fixing both of my gas chainsaws, decided to give the GW 16” a try. Couldn’t be happier! Insert battery, go to work. Plenty of power for my needs (occasional user), no mixing 2-cycle, changing fuel lines, filters, spark plugs or breathing and smelling of 2-cycle exhaust for the remainder of the day. Plus, now I have an additional 40v battery for my GW lawn de-thatcher.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chainsaw worked as well as a gas operated one. I was very impressed! I was very annoyed with trying to start my gas chainsaw every use by yanking my arm out of socket for 5-10 min. Putting a battery in, push a button, pull the trigger and chainsaw starts up. Super easy! My arm thanks you. I'm sold now! I'm switching all my gas powered tools over to 40 volt battery products.

Perfect for the job! 40V 16" Cordless Battery Chainsaw w/ 4.0Ah USB Battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No messing with gas and oil, no smelling of exhaust, no excessive noise, it's lightweight and very portable. We also have a Greenworks 40v trimmer and a Greenworks 40v pole saw so we can carry their batteries should we be expecting to use the chainsaw beyond one battery and away from charging options. Primarily used for trimming/knocking down dead trees and making light levels of firewood. Haven't used the usb charging port on the battery yet, but can imagine that will come in handy at some point!

40 volt was the right choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friend highly recommended to purchase only the 80v version, checked them out online and saw his stuff. Everything...a little bit heavy i thought but choosing the 40v and using it was a perfect fit for my applications.
Used it to cut a pile of 2-8" tree Branches about 1/4 cord took about 15 minuets. and one dot on the battery.
No drag, just smooth cutting.
Better than my Sawzall ????...and smoother than by old 14" Stil gas Saw.

Great choice so far... now I have a 16" Tree stump to tackle next.
Definitely would recommend - the 40v has plenty of torque and the price range is great....

Exceptional run time

I have had this chain saw for about 3 years with most of my use of it in the Spring, Summer and Fall. I am always amazed at the long run time I get from the saw. I am often able to buck much more of a tree than I predict. I find it easy to sharpen the chain and find any needed replacement parts online. It is comparable in weight to my old gas powered saw. The self oilier for the chain is great, but do take the time to clean out the housing over the chain from time to time to remove oil caked saw dust. If possible, used up all of the oil in the self oilier before storing it to prevent oil from leaking out when not in use.
