Old technology brush motor

Unit quit after two seasons when brush hung up - grass and cutting moisture gummed up the brush track. Would not have purchased if I knew the motor had old technology brushes. Good performance when it was running.

Not much power, can't find replacement line anywhere. When I called Greenworks, I gave them the model number STF310 and they told me it didn't exist. Also bought the blower, not enough power to blow leaves.

Forced string feed

Just got the trimmer last week and used it once. So far, I don't like the forced string feed. Every time you start the trimmer more string is advanced. I'm in the habit of releasing the trigger when I finish an area, and when I start up again in a new area, more string is fed even if I don't need it. Is there a way to stop the forced feed?

This automatic string feeder will release approximately 1\4" of line each time the trigger is squeezed then release. Force feed cannot be stopped. Compared to my previous string trimmer, this guy is a monster. MUCH stronger, dual strings, really attacks the area. My only complaint is that it can be a little hard to control. I end up trimming too deeply sometimes and take out the lawn to roots. It takes some practice to get the depth and angle correctly for the job.

Got this trimmer after returning a smaller one and this one is just the right size. Found this one on the Greenworks web site, this model was not in any of the box stores near me so I bought it one thier site, great price and free shipping. works great and the battery lasts a long time.
