Hedge trimmer prone to jamming

After a year, the blade jammed and made a humming noise. Watched a YouTube video and found this is a known problem. I was able to get it functioning, but on my next use, it jammed again. Not worth the money!
Pros: Cost-Saver
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear you have experienced this issue. Routine maintenance is crucial and should be performed after each use. To clean the blade simply use a dry or very lightly dampened cloth. Wipe up and down the blade plate and blade to remove dust and debris. For thorough cleaning you should also wipe down each blade tooth individually. Once wiped down and free of loose debris apply a light machine oil to your second rag. Using the same motions as before wiping down the blade plate and blade teeth. During this step extra is required for the teeth. Ensure that the oil is being worked into each groove. Not only will this ensure proper performance, but it also helps to lift sticky residue left from trimming.

Great tool

Drill with Battery Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill is smaller and much lighter than the Ryobi I have. So far it did not lock the drill bit well. Drill bit slips from time to time. Not sure why but it's easy and lighter to use for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mr Old School.
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing. If your bit isn't secure in the drill, examine the chuck. Normal wear and tear can compromise the chuck's ability to hold the drill bit.
To install the bit:
1. Push forward / reverse switch in "neutral" position to lock the trigger.
2. Turn the chuck counter-clockwise to open.
3. Tilt the machine upwards to keep the bit from falling out
4. Put the bit into the opening of the chuck.
5. Make sure that the bit is centered, then turn the chuck clock-wise to tighten.

If you are using the drill on wood we recommend, for maximum performance, use high speed steel bits for wood drilling. When using on wood Operate the machine at a very low speed to prevent the bit from slipping off the starting point. Increase the speed as the drill bit bites into the material.

Too delicate

Purchased trimmer as a gift last Christmas but didn't get around to using it until now. Worked fine for an hour on our forsythia hedge, then jammed. Found yt videos on problem and got it working but I'm not getting rid of my electric anytime soon!

Thank you for sharing your experience. After using your hedge trimmer, wipe down the blades with a rag that’s been dampened with soapy water. Regular cleaning prevents sap and debris from getting stuck in the blades, affecting performance and product longevity.
If your machine is struggling to make clean cuts or is frequently getting jammed, the blades might be dull. Sharpen blades with a flat file, taking care not to remove more metal than necessary.
In addition to blade maintenance, follow manufacturer instructions for caring for your trimmer’s motor.
