Why two different 24V batteries

I have 4 greenworks tools all 24V and one is not compatible. Three use 29842 batteries and one uses BAM709 and they are not compatible with the tools or charger. Why in the world are there two different 24V systems. I did not know that when I bought the fourth tool and now I can’t charge BAM709 battery. To me this is unacceptable.

The battery is light weight and easy to put on and off. I wish it had a longer charge but then it might be heavier so just make sure you have extra batteries to finish the job. Definitely worth not having to lug over a hundred feet of wire.

Nice upgrade to the original batteries that came with my drills (from Costco). The new ones hold charge for quite sometime

Work great for few uses then fail

I got this tool as a gift I worked fine then I didn’t used now that I’m need to use it again battery light is blinking according to instructions I have a bad battery, sorry but I’m dissatisfied with this battery looks new because was barely used and now don’t work.

We are sorry to hear that you have experienced an issue with this product The charger can at times go into a false defect; this means it's unable to correctly read the battery and may show the battery as being defective when it's not. This information is located inside the charger's manual. To resolve false defect, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED blinks GREEN, then the battery is properly charging. If the status LED is still blinking RED, remove the battery and unplug the charger for 1 minute. After 1 minute, plug in the charger and reinsert the battery. This should resolve the false defect detection. If you have followed the correct charging procedure and are still finding that your batteries are not holding their charge as they should, we would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

I love the mower. It was a gift. BUT!!! The batteries are HORRIBLE!!!! I might be able to cut for 25 minutes (if I'm lucky), then they die.

15 minute run time

Received my blower/trimmer combo yesterday and charged the battery overnight. Lasted about 15 minutes blowing leaves this morning :( Makes it impossible to complete the job without recharging-now waiting to see how long a recharge takes and have ordered 2 more PRICEY batteries so I can finish a job once started. Blower does work well and is light weight and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
