Hedge trimmer prone to jamming

After a year, the blade jammed and made a humming noise. Watched a YouTube video and found this is a known problem. I was able to get it functioning, but on my next use, it jammed again. Not worth the money!
Pros: Cost-Saver
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear you have experienced this issue. Routine maintenance is crucial and should be performed after each use. To clean the blade simply use a dry or very lightly dampened cloth. Wipe up and down the blade plate and blade to remove dust and debris. For thorough cleaning you should also wipe down each blade tooth individually. Once wiped down and free of loose debris apply a light machine oil to your second rag. Using the same motions as before wiping down the blade plate and blade teeth. During this step extra is required for the teeth. Ensure that the oil is being worked into each groove. Not only will this ensure proper performance, but it also helps to lift sticky residue left from trimming.

Keep your hedge trimmer blades free of dirt debris and rust.

I really like how easy the trimmer is to handle: it's lightweight, has good reach across and around the shrubs, and the rotating handle makes easy work of vertical trimming. The battery and charger from my other Greenworks tools is compatible with this new one too, which played a big part in what turns out to be a wise purchase.

Broke on the first day. Greenworks refused to replace it.

Got the 40V Hedge trimmer as a gift. On the first day of use the blades locked up and the machine was hopelessly jammed. Did some basic troubleshooting to repair. Nothing. Waited 30m for customer service to answer and they said because I tried to repair it they wouldn't replace it. Garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Defect Product Shipped

I bought the hedge trimmer and the shipment was delayed.. Finally when i got the product after 2 weeks, it had bad charger, as per greenworks the need 10-12 days to ship a charger. Waste of time and money.

light weight,easy on my back, duration 60v battery last about 1 hour, and a lot of cutting can take place in that period of time. Small problem with initial battery, power indicators were not functioning but upon my call to Greenworks a new battery was sent out immediately. So far in the little over 2 weeks since I received the hedge cutter I am pleased with its operation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes quick work of trimming the bushes!

It is a great hedge trimmer and is, by far, superior to the corded hedge trimmer I had been using. No more worrying about where the cord is or constantly moving it. Instead just quick work of trimming the bushes!! And the rotating head is another plus...! Definitely worth every penny!
