I’m not entirely sure what to say. This product is great at it’s primary function but disappoints in two major categories. It’s expensive. You’re going to pay about 6 times more than what you would for a comparable third party product. You’re paying for the Canon name here which hopefully translates into longevity. A major factor in my decision to pay the 6 times markup was the compact power adapter and included USB interface cable because I didn’t already have one laying around. I received the kit, excited to start using my new RP camera, but the USB interface cable that comes in the kit literally reaches nowhere. For context, my PC is directly underneath my camera setup and I just could not make it work. This meant I had to go and spend MORE money on a suitable cable and wait even longer to use my new camera, which to me, defeats the purpose of the all-in-one, quick and easy nature of Canon putting together this kit to begin with. Aside from these two major hiccups, the product has served me well in the month I’ve been using it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not work with the Canon DM-E1 microphone

Spent hours with the online community to figure out why I could not get the Canon WebCam Utility to recognize my DM- E1 microphone, also made by canon. Foud out the the webcam utility does not support the microphone!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
