I love this new Chromebook. I bought it to replace my old one that I bought back in 2012. My old one was a HP 14” 2012 model and finally just stopped working. It needed a new battery and screen. Repairing it was going to cost the same price as buying this new model. I love it. Works just as perfectly as my old one. I’m really enjoying the touch screen. HP chromebooks are the way to go for sure. Hopefully I’ll get 10 strong years of use out of this one as well!

The touchpad is the weak point. But no matter what you do with a Chromebook, you're going to use the touchpad constantly, so this really just kills it.
It's laggy and inconsistent. Smoothly slide your finger across it and the cursor moves in jerks and starts. Stop moving and the cursor keeps going for a bit. Just trying to click a small button can be infuriating as the cursor slides around like it's on ice.
And no, it's not trackpad speed too high or trackpad acceleration being on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I finally bought a laptop. Trying to do things on here that are not linked to needing internet/wifi. Still get the slow and loading arrow. Not happy with a brand new 2023 device and it can’t even load a photo off a sd card without loading…….
