After having two, his and her's, original hammer trainers I upgraded one of them to the H3 and immediately had to update the second to an H3 as well. Saris has done outstanding work to improve the Hammer trainer line in only a few short years. We've had great experiences with Zwift, Trainer Road, and Sufferfest using these trainers. Highly recommend this trainer!

Hammer H1 for 3 years, 5000 miles

The H1 has been rock solid. The only maintenance I've done is treating the belt one time with belt conditioner. The H1 has treated me excellent.

A great trainer at a great price

I've had my trainer over a year and got a scratch and dent one with the same warranty and saved several hundred dollars. It has performed exactly as I wanted and is a great upgrade over my previous fluid trainers.

I bought the Hammer from CycleOps after shoulder surgery, since I was not cleared to ride outside. I had no idea how LAZY I had been on the old Mag Trainer. . . I finally had a power meter. Goodness. This has really upped my game. According to DC Rainmaker in 2017, this was the quietest of all smart trainers that came out that year, and I bought from my LBS. I had them install the cassette for me--I brought it home, put my bike on it, downloaded Rouvy, and off I went! Wow, seamless integration with my laptop (and the dongle), my phone, and my garmin head unit; sadly my ipad is too old to connect. I live on this thing in the era of cars smashing into bikes and driving away without thinking twice. My road bike that I use for triathlons remains there all the time--except on race day. I often choose to ride it instead of my gravel bike outside (cockpit is set up to mimick my road bike for training purposes), simply because I'm enamored with having power readouts. I may need power meter for my gravel bike. Anyway, awesome unit. I bought the original Hammer in 2018 (January) and it is still going strong. I would buy it again in a heartbeat--but I have a feeling my Hammer is going to last a LONG time!
