I'm 6 months into owning the H3 and have spent more time than i'd like researching the various scrapes and knocks the trainer makes. The company knows the belt slips and suggested owners sand the pulley to provide better grip. Not good. There is also a knocking noise users report that has no solution.
Outside of noises and build defects, it's actually a good trainer and seems to be accurate.
If I did it again...I don't know, probably go with Wahoo, but they have their own horror stories. Hard to win.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

easy install, simulates riding outdoors very well

ordered online, got delivery few days later. very good packaging, no damages. installed new 11:32 shimano cassette. put my sensa street bike on it. all fits. maybe i had to replace the chain for brand new one? zwift,rouvy all works without issues. pairing is easy. i use these apps on an apple tv.
riding the bike goes well, shifting gears, standing on the pedals, cranking out 600w. i did a calibration using the saris app, the power readings look normal, also no dropouts in the bluetooth connection.
in zwift, i am riding with the saris shirt because i am a happy customer

Very nice trainer

This is my first direct drive trainer after having used a Cycleops fluid trainer for a couple of years. The H3 is very well built and can provide some serious, smooth resistance! It works with all of the virtual platforms I've tried it on (Zwift, Trainer Road, Rouvy). I have had some trouble getting it to maintain a stable connection via Ant+; I've used different Ant+ USB adapters and a few different PCs, but the connection just isn't great. I have had better luck connecting via Bluetooth to my laptop, but am a little bummed Ant+ doesn't work better as that's what my training room setup was geared to use. Overall happy with it though.

Best trainer I have ever owned!

I bought this trainer in February to up my trainer game and get more on Zwift, little did I know how much life was about to change. I have been an advocate for trainers for the past decade because I have moved a lot for work and I have young children at home. Getting a workout on a trainer is efficient. I have actually gotten faster from structured training on a trainer. I have alway hated how much noise wheel-on trainer make and space they need, not to mention hub maintenance and needing to swap tires. The H3 completely removes these issues. It is so quiet!!! When I first got it my wife had no idea I had even started a ride because it made so little noise! Sadly, that means I now know how much noise my drivetrain makes haha. The most noise that comes from my trainer now is gasping for air and my drivetrain. Also, it gets rid of the wheel issues because there is no wheel. I also don't have to barrier off my rear wheel so my young children don't stick their fingers in the spokes or between the wheel and resistance drum. If you have young children at home I can't recommend the H3 enough. Yesterday I setup my 5-year-old's bike so he could pedal next to me while I did a Zwift ride. We sat there together pedaling away for 30 minutes while my avatar when up Alpe du Zwift, listen to music, and debated Transformers. To top it off he did it all in an Iron Man costume. I wouldn't have been able to do that with a wheel-on trainer or a louder trainer. I absolutely love this trainer.
