I bought the H3 to replace a Computrainer I used for over a decade. I was sick of the rear tire melting. This direct drive is such an upgrade. feels more realistic when riding. Pairs well with favorite cycling app

I just received my new Saris H3 trainer. Have had the hammer 1 and hammer 2 when sold under the cycleOps name. Both good trainers. Decided to upgrade to the newer version. I am not disappointed, the newer version is quieter and does not seem to have a slight lag when climbing hills. I was concerned when at first I tried to connect it to my ipad to check that it had the latest software pkg.and it would not connect. A quick call to Saris customer service where I was immediately connected to a live, and very helpful person. This patient and pleasant gentleman helped me to find the problem (my ipad not the H3) and within a few minutes I was up and running. Customer service and product support are reason enough to purchase of a Saris product. Have broken parts of a trainer in the past and received excellent service then as well. Highly recommend the Saris H3 to anyone who likes a quality trainer at an affordable price.

Good upgrade

This was intended as a backup for my Elite Drivo Gen 1 but now I'm keeping it as primary. I'm loving the smoother feel with the heavier freewheel and faster response. The trainer is also slightly more quiet than the Drivo. Only negative is the play in the legs when extended for use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought to ride indoors and it definitely allows for that. Simulated hills and resistance well, overall love this trainer and will be sticking with it
