Great pair of prep knives

A really unique knife set, these are a lightweight and well made pair of forged high carbon stainless steel Prep knives. A great multipurpose knife, you can slice, dice and mince with comfort and control with this knife. With the Four Star Prep, it’s a great alternative to using a large blade, while still being able to cut food with ease on a cutting board. This set is great for having both a fine edge and serrated blade style. A great starter set of prep knives.

this is a high end German steel line that has been around for over 40 years. The blades are super sharp, durable and well balanced. Serrated or straight edged, this is a go to knife for slicing vegetables, fruits, breads, cakes. The handle is smooth and comfortable.

I can't say enough good things about the prep knives. One would think 2 knives the same size would be redundant, but with one straight edge and one serrated, I have to say I use them equally. Which is a lot. Larger than a paring but not as overwhelming as a chef knife. The molded handles are comfortable. I love them so much I purchased a set for a friend.

These two 5.5" prep knives are a great inbetween size. They can be used as a paring/utility knife for something small, while the wider heel of blade allows for chopping something larger on the cutting board. The serrated blade is ideal for cutting through items with a firm outsider and soft inside. Good weight with molded comfortable handle.

The online pictures are deceiving as they show a big knife and a small one, while in reality they are both the same size and both small ! The online description does not give the measurements of the knives. In addition, It takes forever to return an item if you are unsatisfied. Sad to get this from a company backed by such a big name.

Double deal knife!

We gifted this 2pc. Four Star prep knife couple years ago. This prep knife is a double deal go-to knife, it feels great and function well for daily use.. It is perfect size, comfortable handle and sharpness is exceptional. Serrated knife is everything knife, it can be a bread knife and fruit knife. Both knives are great for cutting meat, bread, vegetables and small fruits. These are forged knives from a single piece of solid steel, ergonomic polypropylene handle. German made special formula high carbon steel with 57 Rockwell Hardness = excellent edge retention.

The prep knife in the is my absolute favorite knife to use. I was surprised at how versitile it would be. I use this knife for all my small cutting projects. Now I can have it's faternal twin with a serrated edge! Great for citrus and tomatoes. The molded handle feels secure and fits nicely into the hand. The balance is great and the edge stays sharp due to the ice-hardening process.
