Covers the basics with top quality knives

If you don't need or don't want a big knife set at this time, this set will serve all your cooking needs. It has the basic knives you need to get any meal on a table - a chef's, a prep and paring knife. Throw in the bread knife and maybe you don't even need to cook!
Seriously, these are professional quality knives that are forged to last a lifetime. Minimal maintenance, just hone them regularly and sharpen them once a year. Hand wash them if you want them to look as good as they did when you got them home (although they are dishwasher safe.)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great starter block with some of the work-horse knives of the kitchen. There is room to grow your collection with the 16 slots on this beautiful white hardwood block. If you have colored cabinets or island in your kitchen, the white is a stunning accent to add. I love the way it looks in my kitchen. Great value on one of the most popular lines.

This clean, white block set supplies the home chef with the four essential knives and two great tools. With room to add a few more blades, the slots on this block are slanted to comfortably store the innovative curved bolsters on the Pro knives. The combined features of the ergonomic handle and aforementioned bolster provide optimal comfort for the professional pinch grip while the sharp German blade gets the job done cleanly and efficiently.

You have to put these knives in your hand to appreciate the innovative bolster. The rise between the blade and handle make for a very comfortable grip. Grip like a Pro! This set is a great place to start with room to grow! The white block is a nice contrast to the black and stainless steel.

I personally loved Pro knives, it feels better in my hand. This block includes all essential knife a chef should have, spare your current steak knife set, there is a place for it..!
This is by far the best and the greatest wedding and housewarming gift idea but excellent investment for new kitchen knife set. We do have variety of individual knives to choose from and to be added later in this block to fill those empty slots.
Its unique curved bolster supports the pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, great for safe cutting and less fatigue. This is easy sharpen knife forged from a single piece of Special Formula High-Carbon NO STAIN stainless steel, Ice-hardened FRIODUR blade, stays sharper longer, and has superior resilience.

Pro knives are high quality and super sharp. The white block is nice quality but painted with a rustic finish so the wood block color does come through the white. This set has a nice configuration of knives, perfect for every day use.
