The best all-around Dutch oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the market for a Dutch oven that would work for soups, stews, sautés and breads. This 5.5qt Cocotte was exactly was I was looking for and more. I usually cook for one, but I like to meal prep a larger batch so that I am not cooking every day. This size is also perfect for a family of 4. It is not only beautiful to look at, but it cooks your meals to perfection as it heats evenly on medium heat as well as helps retain the moisture in your foods with the special lid. The textured enamel is an easy transition for those used to cooking on non-stick surfaces but 10x better. Also, the gorgeous Graphite color goes well with my other All-Clad cookware without clashing. I would definitely purchase this Cocotte again!

Impressive Heat Retention and Flavor for Home-Cook

I recently bought the Staub Cast Iron 5.5-qt Round Cocotte in Grenadine, and I’m so impressed! The color is gorgeous—a deep, rich shade that looks even better in person. At 26 cm, it’s just the right size for hearty family meals. I used it as soon as I received it to cook pork ribs, and they came out perfectly tender and full of flavor. The cocotte holds heat really well, and I noticed the lid’s self-basting design kept everything juicy. I’m thrilled with this purchase; it’s both beautiful and incredibly functional!

Staub cast iron colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table, this teal is my favorite. There's variety of colors to choose from, and caters individual color taste. Staub cast iron pots saves you another dish, you can serve your delicious food straight to your table. I also bought a staub magnetic trivet to protect my table from direct heat, it add another beautiful thing at the dinner parties. The innovative lid features tiny spikes on the interior that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results. Its durability is perfect for day-to-day use.

This size is my perfect size for my family gatherings and backyard BBQs. I use this cocotte all year long no matter the season as it is so easy to adapt from one season to the next. Fall and winter for long braises in the oven or stove-top, and when Spring and Summer roll around, I transition a lot of my cooking to the backyard on the BBQ (California weather). We even take it camping and place it over the campfire, or sometimes in the hot coals. I can't sign this cocottes praises enough and I am more than happy with the few different sizes I own.

This is an awesome 5.5 quart round cocotte. It is a great option for slow cooking meats, vegetables, soups, any much much more. The white truffle color is really pretty and goes well with any occasion.

Perfect Size for Family of 6

This is the perfect size for a typical size family...large enough to hold a large piece of meat or poultry. The dark interior browns and sears protein nicely. The 5.5 quart is large enough to cook meat, poultry and veggies together, using one piece of cookware. The cocotte is a beautiful serving piece as well, Straight from the oven or stovetop to the table. And the cocotte cleans up easily too. A small piece of breading stuck to the bottom of the cocotte but released easily after a short time of soaking in warm soapy water.
