Best cooking device ever

I was stunned when I first started using it - everything cooked in the Staub was the best version of the dish that I'd ever prepared. When I realized that my cooking wasn't getting better, and that the difference was la cocotte by Staub, I became an instant and lifelong fan. Read the care instructions; low heat first, then raise the temperature. (I learn lessons the expensive way so you don't have to.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought as gift for my husband and we have used this to make several amazing dishes. Oven, stove-top-does a beautiful job. Even heat distribution as well as incredible moisture while basting foods. Recommend as a staple in any kitchen.

Over the years my le creuset pots have started to form a yellow stain whereas the staub has maintained its overall original appearance. Functions perfectly for baking breads, stews and casseroles. From stove to oven. Easy to clean.
