Great for No Knead Bread

Love making no knead bread for my family, but wanted to double the recipe. Decided on this 5.5 cocotte and it is truly the perfect sized pan for doing that. My breads come out perfect. The metal knob on the lid is oven safe in high temperatures, which is perfect for the 500 degree temperature it cooks at with lid on. The lid also fits nice and tight, and creates just the correct amount of steam to produce a hard crust and moist and perfect crumb. Also great for Irish Stew which goes great with the bread.

Best Dutch oven I've ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing!!! I use it almost every single day and it conducts heat so perfectly on the stove and in the oven. I have used it for stews, soups, braises, sauces, and have even stir-fried veggies. It is so durable and so useful in the kitchen. It's also very pretty and I don't even put it away I like to just leave it out on my stove top when I'm not using it. Would make a great gift for any loved one or friend.

Exactly what I expected - Staub really makes great quality dutch ovens, and it has worked incredibly well to make multiple dishes so far, including sourdough loaves. The Saffron color is a gorgeous addition to my kitchen as well!

Great multifunctional pot.

Multifunctional (less pots needed), seems indeed durable, and is aesthetically pleasing, which is important for my kitchen with open lay-out. Happy.

Nice 7 quart size is perfect size for my family of 7. Make tons of chili, sauces, stews, stocks and soups. Dark interior perfect for searing, and resists staining especially from tomato based recipes.
Induction ready, oven safe up to 500 degrees. Flat lid with little grooves on the underside helps keep roasts extremely moist, and free from basting. Keeps food hot, and works double as a beautiful serving piece.

This pan is not only beautiful but cooks food to perfection. Nice heavy tight
lid with self basting spikes, keeps my roasts nice and moist, and always a ton of gravy. Worried that it wouldn't work on my induction cooktop, but it is definitely compatible. Also goes into the oven at temperatures up to 500 degrees because the knob is made from metal, not plastic which melts at high heats. Love the decorative knobs that are available to switch out.
Ordered the pig and can't wait to receive it.
