Makes it so easy to cook!

If you have never used or owned a Staub oven, then it is time. I started using them about 11 years ago. The trick is getting the right size. I started with a small one. Thinking it would be fine for the two of us. Immediately upgraded to the 5.5-qt. There weren't enough left overs!
This dutch oven makes my life easier. I literally toss a piece of protein, seasonings and some liquid in the pot, put it in the oven and cook for an hour or two. Done! Happy family!
I usually use this 5.5 qt for 3 people. My 7-qt cocotte is pulled out for larger groups and special occasions.

Cook everyday for my family and wanted a durable pan that would be easy to clean. Chose the black matte option because I felt it would always look nice and clean. The black matte is perfect. The interior is not only stain resistant, but the dark color also aids in getting a great sear on meats and poultry. Love that the exterior is easy to get clean even after using it on a high temperature inside the oven. This pan has so many uses, I braise meats, simmer stocks, roast chickens and deep fry in this one pan. Takes the place of so many other pans in the kitchen, and always cleans up great. Perfect for my cooking needs.

I bought this for my daughter in law for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. She enjoys french cooking and this is perfect for her many recipes. It cooks evenly while keeping the food moist and flavorful. I highly recommend it.

Another amazing Staub piece. The black is the look of the traditional cast iron but with the enamel coating it makes clean up so easy. The self-basting spikes keep so much moisture inside the pot. Performs great in the oven for roasts or chicken and also one the stovetop for soups and chilis.

This is definitely one of the essential Staub pieces to have in your kitchen. I use this 5.5qt cocotte almost on a daily basis for a variety of recipes when making food for my boyfriend and I. This provides us with plenty of food for dinner and lots of leftovers.

It is perfect for my small family. It does make a difference food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish. I also bought a staub cast iron trivet to protect my table from direct heat.

Great Color for my kitchen now that Black & Beige is in vogue. This fantastic Cocotte is well made and keeps moisture and flavors in. Made in France of quality enamel & cast iron.

Easy to give this a great rating, as there is nothing I do not like about this cocotte. Color doesnt matter, as they are all beautiful, intense colors (even black matter is gorgeous in a modern kitchen!) and long-lasting! I love the spike effect on the lids that creates the moisture that circulates inside the pot! Brilliant idea! And better food!
