Perfect for curries and stews

This pot is very much like a Japanese nabe, a traditional braising pot that comes to the table bubbling with a delicious stewy something that is scooped over rice and enjoyed family style. If you have any dish in your recipe file that meets that description, then this is the pot for you too. This pot is a little lighter than an equivalent size cocotte.
3.75-qt is a good size for a family of 4 or 5, unless there are big eaters in the bunch. And if this is your first Staub, all the good stuff you've read is true. The black enamel interior makes for better browning and easy clean up. The beautiful enameled exterior will won't chip or peel (don't do anything crazy, ok?) and the range of cooking styles you can do in this pot is awesome - low and slow to super high heat searing. No problem.

Beautiful neutral color. Great size. I noticed the dome lid makes the entire piece lighter than the flat lids. The basting spikes are still underneath the lid. The black enamel browns and carmelizes so well. Staub makes cooking so rewarding.

I love the size and the shape of this oven. It is perfect for soups and risottos and vegetables, just an all around multitasker. I use this frequenty and bought for my daughter as well, and she loves her too. Great investment piece

Growing up on farm this Pot reminds me of those early years in my life. Fantastic one pot meals, chili and soups. Another piece of quality Staub Cookware.

I love how this is a small pot since I live alone and don't need to cook a lot for just myself. I also have a super small kitchen and I wanted to get something that I could display on my stove because I don't have storage for it anywhere else.

This essential oven really is essential! It can do anything and everything. I have cooked everything from stews, soups, to mashed potatoes and meats. It has a self basting lid so it keeps the moisture falling back down.
