Starter sets are a great way to introduce someone new to Zwilling knives. All are knives they will use daily. Then when ready, they can add to the set or buy better knives to replace and hand these down.

Good set of working knives

These knives can tackle any work you have for the, The 8-inch chef's is the center of the bunch. It can slice and chop and mince and shred. The other two will fill in the rest of the tasks. They are good, quality knives at a very good price.
The Forged Synergy line is an elegant line of forged knives. The graceful sculpted handles fit nicely in the palm of the hand; and an integrated bolster that makes these medium weight knives comfortable to grip. The double-riveted handles securely encase the full tang blade. These knives are forged from high quality German stainless steel and manufactured to the highest global standards. That means these knives are sharp and can resharpened again and again giving you years of enjoyment. High quality at a great price. Really good value.
Although they are dishwasher safe, I recommend hand washing them. They will retain the ‘just purchased’ look.

Great value for young cooks!

A full set for a beginner young cook! This 3pc. set is a great gift t encourage your young ones to cook and introduce them to its purpose before they go to college of before they own an apartment. This set has 8" chef for any big cutting needs and a smaller though 6" carving, both are great to cut meats, vegetables, and fruits. Paring knife is a bonus to have for fruits and small food to cut.

I like the look of this knife starter set. With the black and stainless steel, these knives have a nice aesthetic. It comes with a good set of knives to start with in any kitchen, the only thing I wish it had was a serrated knife in the set.

I love the design of these knives because I like the 2 tone of the handle that gives it a sleek look. These knives are so sharp that I have been able to get through everything with ease and I found that with these 3 knives, I can get through anything I have needed to cut.

The blades on these knives became dull to quickly. I've had them just about a year. I'm not a super chef, just an ordinary cook. I expected the knives to stay sharp for a longer period of time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The forged bolster and spine on the Synergy knives make them feel very sturdy and weighted. This three piece set is a good value priced way to get three handy blades...a chef's knife for for all your slicing and dicing, a prep knife for sandwiches and smaller cutting tasks and a paring knife for apples and strawberries and smaller tasks.
