This pan is perfect for making stew with meat and big bones - think beef short ribs and oso buco! The textured black matte enamel interior ensures exceptional browning and earing; cast iron has incredible heat retention and distribution. You don't have to season this pan so care is easy. Tight-fitting glass lid locks in moisture and allows easy monitoring of cooking
This pan is great or any weeknight meal. The size allows you to create any one pot dish, but isn’t so large that it becomes too heavy. The glass lid really allows you to see what is happening to your food at every step in the cooking process, and it is oven safe at high temperatures.
Love the glass lid! The braiser is a great piece to own and it is a go-to for me, but the extra high glass lid is such a game changer. I casserole where you place your protein on top of vegetables or rice and some liquid is perfect in here, where a traditional lid may not fit well. A must have in my book.
Braiser is the perfect pan for cooking and serving. One of the best features is the glass cover so you can see progress of what your making. Staub's quality and features are shown in every way with this Braiser & lots of great color choices.
I am a huge Staub fan. This has become one of my favorites. Not only can you braise, you can fry, saute, bake...great in the oven or on the stove top. It is one of my go to pans when I'm in the kitchen. The selection of beautiful colors allows me to take the dish right to the table for serving.
This is everything you would expect from a Staub cast iron. The innovative black matte interior is designed for exceptional heating and heat retention. I love the glass domed lid with this pot. Perfect for viewing and continuous moisture flow. The handles are angled perfectly for easy transfer form stove to oven to table.
Plenty flat bottom for braising yet Large enough to do stews and things of the like. The blue colour is deep/rich if you've never seen before. Recommend this on.
I ordered this pan before the holiday specifically to make cioppino. It has a large surface cooking surface area which is perfect for shellfish. I seem to use it everyday now - from eggs, casseroles, pancakes and always for the tortillas. I love the top and use it for steaming on top of all the other uses.
