Beautiful everyday pot

Such a cool looking pot you may feel like you need to save it for special occasions, but you should not! It has become the work horse in my kitchen now that there are just two of us at home. The construction of the pot and lid are a little lighter which is nice after a long day at work. It browns beautifully. My other Staub pieces have the dimples but this one has the "nike swoosh", but it cooks exactly the same; delicious meals in short cooking times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gorgeous Essential Oven in Dark Blue!

I bought this specific Staub essential oven for my daughter's future apartment in 3 different sizes. It is just the right size and weight for a young adult like her. This function the same as round cocotte except lid has extra touch and detal to it. It does make a difference in food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish. I also bought a staub cast iron trivet to protect my table from direct heat.

Perfect pot

While looking for a replacement for my decades-old soup pot after it fizzled out, I came upon this pot--which has the sloped sides that my old pot *and* greater capacity and a rooster beautifully adorning the lid! The boil is amazing and every piece of pasta slid effortlessly from the pot into the colander. I'm more than happy with my purchase and look forward to making many more servings of pasta--and my special seafood stew--in this fantastic pot. Thank you, Staub.

Perfect replacement for 23-year-old Le Creuset pot

My 23-year-old Le Creuset soup pot fizzed out and before I realized that they're still being made, I found and ordered this in blue--and boy did I make the right call! I don't at all miss the light interior of the soup pot--or pasta sticking to the bottom (which, in all fairness, didn't happen in the early years of use). The boil was amazing ... and every morsel slid easily from the pot to the colander. Look forward to using this pot for my famous seafood stew. Thanks, Staub.

The brilliance of this color finish is unsurpassed! It shines so beautifully while the color is intense and rich. The rooster design is quite special and looks good on any table, but better yet, it heats evenly, browns beautifully and the spikes keep food moist and flavorful, while adding no extra water. Love cooking with and owning this French oven.

French Elegance!

Most Staub pots have flat lids which I love because of the self basting dimples across the inside of the lid but when I saw this domed lid rooster I knew I had to have it! The domed lid still has unique paisley shaped dimples that ensure that self basting function I've grown to love. This pot is a favorite to serve from at my family table or at pot lucks. Everyone loves it!

This pot is my favorite christmas gift ever. I often think of using it when i trying to decide what to make for dinner... Hmmm... what can I make something in the pretty red rooster! when I fell for this pot i didn;'t know I could still get basting spikes like my other Staub pieces so I was pleasantly surprised that they figured out how to solve that problem. well worth the wait to get this beauty!

Rooster Design is Beautiful

The hardest decision I had when deciding to buy this cocotte was which color to purchase. I don't collect anything buy Rooster figurines for my kitchen, so this was a must have for me. The detail on this lid is amazing...another Staub work of art. Like other Staub pieces there are self-basting spikes on the lid to give a more juicy, tasty and tender finished product. Great size for stews and chilis and small poultry cooking.
