This French oven is fantastic so far. Compared to another brand the handles are extra wide and allow oven mitts to easily slide inside and the exterior is nicely done without cast iron poking through in spots. This is great compared to another brands recent drop in quality. The top edge of this pot (where the lid meets) had 2 imperfections thus just a 4/5 rating. I’ve been using this for the perfect size no knead bread and it comes out great every time. Highly recommended

This finish on this pot creates an amazing sear on any meat. It also holds heat for a long time, I was able to keep dinner warm for an hour before serving.

I will happily review this item, an investment for sure but one of the best I've made in a long time. If you enjoy perfectly tender, fall apart roasts, then what are you waiting for? My only regret.. that it took me so long to purchase one. Cannot recommend enough.

Unique Color, Unique Piece

I was drawn initially to this piece because of the color, which is especially popular in the Southwest. I made a soup and served it at the table in the cocotte. Easy cooking, easy cleanup. This cst iron piece retains the heat very well, so it's a great piece to use for a buffet setting or potluck when peole will be eating at various times.

The turquoise cocotte is such a statement piece. It's so vibrant and adds a perfect pop of color to the kitchen, especially during the Springtime. The best part is, the color still looks brand new after numerous uses and hand-washes.
