New knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 20 plus years using my original Henckels knife set it was time to replace them and purchase a new set. I purchased the 16 peice self sharpening block and knife set. The knives feel great in your hand and are great quality. I'm very happy with this set and looking forward to another 20 years of use with this set.

Large knife dull within months

We bought this knife block set with high hopes. Knives showed up with scratches on some of the handles. The “self sharpening” feature is laughable at best. Yes the knives are great quality but the large kitchen knife is almost useless at this point. Why advertise the knife block as “self sharpening” when that is not the case? I would have purchased a cheaper knife block with out the gimmick of a self sharpening feature. I am disappointed with our purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Outstanding knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these knives as a gift. We use them everyday. The knives are of great quality. The self sharping wood block works great to keep them sharp. The only downside is the large size of the wooden storage block. Would highly recommend.

Perfect starter knife set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this brand! My fiancé and I just purchased our first home and we’re needing a knife set. After living with my MIL and using this brand of knives, I knew we had to go buy our own. Love that this set has a self sharpening knife block built in for the knives! Only gave it 4 stars because the steak knives don’t quite fit into their slots.
