Nice but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All food sticks to one side of the large knife. I tried a little oil on it and still everything sticks. It’s strange because this only is on one side and one knife. Really annoying because it slowed me down and can be dangerous to clean it off all the time. The other knives work very well.

I purchased this set because I needed the basic knives for my apartment. This set included a paring, utility and chefs knife, which is all I needed, without the big price of a full block.
The knives are made with German steel, but are made in Spain which helps keep down the price. I keep them in a storage container in my drawer which keeps them accessible but not in the way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent starter set. Great for all your cutting needs. 8-inch chef's knife will hndle most of the work. Slice, chop, dice, big things and small, the chef's knife is THE knife is the kitchen. The serrated edge is designed to saw through crusty breads, tough skinned (or even soft skinned) tomatoes without destroying the delicate soft interiors. The paring is for smaller tasks and garnishes.
This line of knives is made by forging high quality German steel. They will hold their edge over time giving you years and years of enjoyment - and delicious meals. Recommend hand washing, but dishwasher safe.
