The pan seems fine because it is brand new. Works great. Other Henkle pans have not lasted as long as advertised and these were a replacement for some I had used for about 2 years. Those pans, despite very careful use, had the coating on the bottom start to flake off. I was hoping the company would stand by the warranty but I had no such luck and purchased new pans. I suppose that is a winning business strategy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are so impressed with these Ballarini fry pans. The non-stick surface works so well. Plus each fry pan has a brain-there are indicator lights to let you know when the pan is hot enough to cook in and cool enough to clean. The 10 and 12 inch are both useful sizes. Great weight and comfortable handles. They are the best non-stick pans we have ever used.

We had been looking for good pans for over a year and had gone through numerous plans that just didn't meet our expectations. These pans finally met our needs and we actually ordered another set since our family does alot of cooking. Couldn't be happier, sturdy, not too heavy, non-stick etc 100% delighted!!
