It will cut!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pleased with the quality of this knife set. It feels substantial/high-quality, and it's been up to the task of whatever I've been doing. I use the bread knife a lot, since I bake bread regularly, and it's easy to cut even slices of bread. I've used the chef's knife mainly for vegetables and chicken, and I have no complaints.
One minor point - and this upset me a bit when it happened, was that I didn't realize you couldn't use the scrubbing side of a sponge on the knives. After doing that on my bread knife, I had some scratches that went against the grain of the steel. I'd never noticed anything like that before, but I never looked that closely at my (cheaper) knives!
I would recommend this to a friend!
