Very high quality. I have had this set since 1996. I had a friend who won this for his company sales contest. He had no interest in knives and just gave them to me. I still use them every day and I can't believe the luck I had that he didn't see the value of these awesome knives. I will never need to replace them.

A Lifetime set of Knives

Again, bought this set in the 80's, use them just about daily. One of the best investments I've ever made. Have them sharpened by your service every 3 or 4 years, they cut like new. Everyone who has used them wants a set. Great set of knives, great service. An amazing standard in this day and age.

Knives of my Generation

My mother received these knives as a wedding present from her brother in the 70's, and passed them down to me when I went to college 10 years ago. These knives are still sharper than ever and my favorite knives to use in the kitchen. I would even bring in the chef's knife into work with me when I worked in a restaurant. With proper care and sharpening almost 50 years later, these knives still cut like perfectly. This brand has earned my trust in reliability in my kitchen knives. Unfortunately, a friend borrowed a knife from my set and moved away which was heartbreaking. I have to replace that one but I'll be using this brand as far as I can see in the future. I also recently purchased a carving knife from their Miyabi line and am extremely satisfied in the craftsmanship. Great purchase!

I love these knives. I can cut virtually anything with ease and precision, thanks to the amazingly sharp blades, the perfect weight of the knives, and the design of the handles. I don't know why I waited so long to buy these. The block and the knives themselves are also a pleasure to look at.

One of our most popular lines world-wide at an exceptional value. The knives included in this anniversary block are some of the most used knives in the kitchen. I like the handle and the weight of the knives, they are comfortable in my hand, which means I can work for longer periods of time. German steel and made in Germany, these knives will last for years to come.

This block has everything you need in a kitchen. The knives are made from German Special Formula Steel, also forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. They are also ice hardened so blade will start sharper and stay sharper longer than other knives. The handles are comfortable and lightweight, a nice option compared to other heavy handle knives.

This set is an excellent value for the money; but, it is not the same quality as the other J.A. Henckels knives. The blades are delightfully sharp but the handles are very light weight.
