This Perfect Pan to ave a perfect view from the outside while your food is being cooked! It is deep enough not just for braising, you can also saute', stir fry, deep fry and mostly everything and it is cast iron that holds heats evenly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Used this pan last night to cook Cornish Hens and they came out amazing!! Super easy to clean just soap and hot water. We don't really use the lid much.

Never met a Staub piece I did not like, and this one is no exception. I use this pan for so many different things. It is perfect for long braises in the oven and can easily be watched with the glass lid. I have used this pan for breakfast preperation, lunch and so many times for dinner. The possibilities are endless!

Perfect One Dish Piece

I love this piece so much because I am able to do so many different things in it. It truly is the perfect one meal piece. It steams very well due to the lid locking perfectly and the height of the domed lid allows the steam to move around. The coating of the pan itself gives off exceptional, even browning.

A great feature that Staub has is the black matte enamel interior which doesn't require seasoning like some cast iron pieces. The black matte interior is also superior for browning which you definitely want in a braiser . This braiser is perfect for searing, simmering and sauteing in addition to braising meats. This pot is beautiful from stove to table.

Lighter than a traditional braiser

This is a great way to cook. It is the right size for braising a couple of chicken breasts or a pot full of vegetables. It sautes my aromatics evenly, holds the heat when I brown my proteins and the glass lid makes it easy to keep an eye on the progress of my cooking. And the beautiful colors make it easy to bring it to the table to serve from. So smart.
