[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of my first thoughts when picking it up was how solid it felt. I wouldn't say it felt heavy. I think it was from a combination of the coating (hand grease magnet) and even weight distribution internally.
The fn and ctrl keys are switched which is annoying if you use shortcuts like many business people do. I'm not sure why you'd switch them on a business laptop. Sure, it makes the fn key easier for people casually using a personal laptop, but business users seem more likely to have their fingers trained to use their left pinky for the ctrl key and need to figure out how to do advanced finger gymnastics to retrain that muscle memory.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Compact, High Performance Engineering Laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad E14 G2 has fantastic performance for all of our engineering needs. I'm able to run my Microsoft and Autodesk software simultaneously with no delays or lagging. It comes in a compact size and connects perfectly to my workstation. I also stream music while working and the speakers have clear audio and again, no lagging. Finally, the battery life seems to last for 4-5 hours away from an outlet so I'm easily able to work remotely and enjoy a change of scenery.
