Unit was shipped well packed and received very promptly. Instructions for use were printed on the back of the box. They were straight forward, but need more detail:
1. Plug the end of the Tesla charger cord into the mating Tesla socket on the adaptor.
2. Wait for at least 15 to 20 seconds before plugging the J1772 connector on the adaptor into the charge port on your vehicle.
3. Plug the J1772 connector on the adaptor into the charge port on your vehicle.
4. For a Chevy Bolt, the Charging Status Indicator lamp on the dash shows the following sequence:
a. Lamp comes on yellow for a few seconds
b. Lamp goes out for a few seconds
c. Lamp comes on yellow for a few more seconds
d. A "click" is heard in the Tesla charging unit on its post
e. Lamp switches to green and begins to flash indicating the charging status
a. Lamp comes on yellow for a few seconds
b. Lamp goes out for a few seconds
c. Lamp comes on yellow for a few more seconds
d. A "click" is heard in the Tesla charging unit on its post
e. Lamp switches to green and begins to flash indicating the charging status
5. When using a standard charging unit, the Charging Status Indicator lamp sequence is shorter:
a. Lamp comes on yellow for a few seconds
b. A "click" is heard in the charging unit
c. Lamp switches to green and begins to flash indicating the charging status

This is a very commercial grade charging extension that you will always feel confident using. Understand it is heavy gaged wire just like you’ll see at charging stations.

The adapter does what it promises to do without any issues. I use it at home, and I'm looking forward to using it at Supercharger stations once Tesla opens them up to other EVs. My only complaint is that it's quite bulky. The J1772 to Tesla adapter that came with my Model 3 is much smaller, simpler, and lighter.
