Good item to have for any EV user. I was at a hotel one day and needed to charger but all the charging stations were full. The only open ones were Tesla chargers but I Didn’t have an adapter. Luckily I had enough charge to make it home the next day but I didn’t want to get stuck in the situation again. As soon as I got home I went online and bought this adapter and now anytime I go out I have more flexibility to charge. I no longer have anxiety issues about not being able to charge because I know most of the time tesla chargers are open and I’ll be able to charge since I have this adapter.

Work with Kia Niro PHEV with correct settings

I have a 2022 Kia Niro PHEV and at first, I could not get this adapter to work with the Tesla Destination charger at a nearby State Park. However, it worked great charging my brother-in-law's Toyota Rav 4 PHEV using the same charger and adapter. What I discovered is that I had to go into my KIA's PHEV menu and set the charging current to "Minimum". I had originally had it set at "Maximum". I next tried "Reduced" and it still would not charge. When I set the current to "Minimum" the blue light on the Tesla charger turned green and Voila! it started charging. The Kia manual doesn't say much about those settings and what they actually do but an hour of charge on the Tesla charger added about 10 miles which I believe is what it should be for a Level 2 charger. I will add the adapter does appear well-built and I was impressed with the quick response I received from Lectron's customer service when I emailed them the problem I was having.

Perfectly capable of doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a lot bigger than it seems like it needs to be. I have a Tesla and a Volvo plug-in hybrid, so I bought this to have the option of plugging the Volvo into my Tesla wall charger. The Tesla actually comes with an adapter that is inverse to this one (i.e. J1772 to Tesla), which is a little smaller than my fist. I don't understand why the same thing can't be made in reverse.

It’s made of high quality materials and I am impressed with the dust caps at each end. It allows me to us my 240 volt Tesla charger to charge my Ford Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle or any other EV that I might purchase.

48a adapter works great!

I bought this adapter to charge my Harley Davidson Livewire using a Tesla wall connector or Tesla destination charges. It doesn't seem to work on the Livewire but I'm able to use it on my Chevy Spark EV and Rivian R1T. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. I suspect the issue is with the Livewire and not necessarily the Lectron adapter.

This adapter is essential for anyone with a Tesla wall connector if you have a non-Tesla EV or a friend with a non-Tesla EV visit. My spouse added a non-Tesla in our garage and this is the perfect addition without adding a new charger.
