Great charger for Kona Electric

Shipped and arrived quickly. Plugged it into a 40 amp outlet inside my garage and immediately began charging my 2022 Kona Electric seamlessly. Its display gives you all the information you need to monitor as it charges your vehicle. I really appreciate that it is portable and I take it with me on trips. Have used it for 4 months - works perfectly every time. Highly recommended.

Charges fine for the price. Came very well packaged; feels well built and the connector is solid. The supplied NEMA15-50 plug is not molded on, so you can remove it to hardwire if desired. The neutral is not terminated at all, but if using the supplied NEMA plug you need to wire the neutral to meet code, which increases wire cost substantially for no reason. If I could do it over again I’d skip the NEMA15-50 and buy something with NEMA6-50 to save the wire cost. The max output I have seen is 31A, but that could be limited by the vehicle. I am concerned the screen never shuts off or dims, so hopefully the screen doesn’t burn out after long term use. Having the screen on continuously isn’t that energy efficient either.

Love being able to charge at home! I had an electrician install the proper plug in my crawl space after being tired of going to the local mall after 9pm in order to find an available charging station spot that was operational. My parents now have made the same installation so I can charge there too when I stay over.
