Ice Maker needs some work.

Can’t name one until I know the system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not very happy with this item. Bought all KitchenAid products and not one had an operating manual and it’s difficult to find info on how to use the induction cook top and wall oven. For this fridge/freezer, the ice continues to make ice even though the basket is full and it falls into the back and then the floor when pulled out. No operating manual to tell me how to reduce or turn off the ice machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Product

After 12 remodels over the last 10 years, this was the worse purchase that we made. This refrigerator/freezer has been nothing but problems from the very start. The master board had to be replaced the ay after the warranty expired. The bottom door continues to freeze shut; we just stopped using it. This was a total waste of money and a waste of space in our kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect choice, no regrets!

We’ve had this under-counter refrigerator for last two years, but I waited before posting a review until I was confident there were no problems. The fridge has been great, aesthetically and functionally. Each drawer has an independent temperature control, so the top drawer holds produce, dairy and other foods reached for daily, and we have mostly condiments and beverages in the lower drawer.
A convenient feature is the door open signal that sounds if a drawer is ajar—it’s a pleasant chime, not a blaring alarm. It’s reminded me a number of times when I didn't push the door closed. The other convenience is the controls are easy to see and reach; they’re right on top of the drawer so when you open a drawer you can check the temperature and adjust it if you need to.
One bit of advice: we had this professionally installed. It’s level, flush with the cabinets, and no problems with screws breaking or destroying the panel. Sometimes its the person using the tools who’s to blame, not the appliance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Unit poor Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this fridge freezer for about a month now. The fridge drawer has unfortunately not worked since Day 1. Freezer drawer has been fine. I understand these things can happen. Placed a service call on July 2nd the tech was unable to diagnose the issue on the spot, have not heard back since, 12 days later despite numerous calls to customer service. This is unacceptable service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Leaks and Causes Damage

Less than a year old and the plumbing into the icemaker has failed, causing a water leak that destroyed surroudning cabinetry. This replaced a 20 year old Sub Zero. The drawers are convenient, but Kitchenaid quality is far behind Sub Zero.
