Defective fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly we bought this more than a year ago and when it finally arrived and was installed it was missing a tube from the ice maker and it flooded our home and destroyed a beautiful oak floor. We have had several unsuccesful attempts to fix it, but in the end are now waiting for a replacement fridge. Neither the appliance store nor Kitchenaid would help us with the floor and we were told to contact our home insurance. We will have to pay our deductible and are unlikely to be able to replace with an equivalent floor. And we still two years later don't have a working fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Happy - BUT.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really was looking forward to this appliance to give me that little bit of "extra" fridge and freezer space. It does that, but because the ice maker takes up 1/2 the freezer drawer, it makes sense to use that as the main one for the house. Unfortunately, it made two ice cubes and has stopped working. I will need to get someone in to repair after waiting for 9 months for it to come - UHG!

Fairly loud unit came broken.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my refrigerator/freezer drawers. This is my second set as the first did not work. This set seems to work. The only issues I have found is some of the items in the refrigerator tend to freeze if way back and the freezer tends to pull ice to the back of the machine where I can’t get to it rather than stop making it. The freezer does work and the refrigerator is nice-

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hasn’t worked since we bought it. We’ve had the repairman here 3 times and it still doesn’t work. We have asked the place where we bought it if they would just replace it.

Doubt I will ever buy another Kitchenaid appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well ice maker number 6, after the original unit, three replacement units, and two ice maker replacements, plus several unsuccessful service calls, I finally have ice after almost two years. Of course that's only been for about a month...so we'll see how long it holds.
