HK HARKAR BT HEADPHONES ARE GREAT!

After serious research involving high-end on-ear headphones with bluetooth capability, I fortunately chose Harman Kardon's Harkar BT's. I tried 5 or 6 of my narrowed down list at an audio retailer and didn't have much trouble deciding on these. They are a really well-engineered product, and extremely well thought out design-wise. The only concern I had was how they would respond paired with my Android-powered Nexus tablet and smartphone. Harman Kardon lived up to their decades-old reputation for flawless sound reproduction, aeronautic-grade craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology. Effortless setup, instant pairing, user-friendly user-interface, unbeatable comfort, and style to match. Most important, was the sound. I never expected, after reading about bluetooth technologies bastardization of audio, anything like what I heard. I first tried a .flac file of Donald Fagen's CD, "The Nightfly", which was a popular choice for studio engineers to test and setup their equipment with prior to recording when the analogue to digital change occurred. I heard instruments and nuances of sound I have never heard before, they sounded beautiful! I am so glad I bought Harman Kardon, once again...

Great but there is an issue...

I enjoy a lot my headphones but the metal is so stiff and pushes the headphones into my ear too much that with a couple of hourse use they give me a earache or headache. Is there a way i can fix this?

these are a great set of headphone..I make beats on my iOS device and wen I hit that pad on iMPC it gives me that rich clean sound I was expecting!!!strong frame keeps them from loosing its sturdy shape!!! great strong cable(if u don't have pets or children that like to bite on the wire lol)but super great headphones!!!!

Just opened and tested my headphones for 2 hours after charging, which was very easy. I can't believe the sound clarity, especially the fact that I do not need high volume for clarity and that higher volumes if needed are not 'painful' to listen to!! I love them.

I bought this about 3 years ago and have been using is it pretty regularly. I am blown away by the quality that these headphones still have. Not only that, but when my charging cord did finally go out, Harman/Kardon was not only helpful, but sent me a replacement cord... Customer for life!

pros:
1.very beautiful sound .. well balanced sound.. crispy and clear .. nice bass and low mid high well balanced.. in general very high quality sound.. excellent speakers.
2. elegant looks
cons: 1. the worst noise ever because there is no isolation between the body of headphone and the sound chamber ..hence high micro phonics .. when ur cable or headset touch even your jacket u can even feel the sound of cotton in jacket rubbing against the body of headset .. and that too highly amplified.. like a stethoscope .. yes the same sound u feel if u've ever kept a stethoscope in ear and rubbed your hand against its diaphragm ..
2. ear piece is too large.. its more than over ear.. its almost over face headphones
3. even though if feels very comfortable in beginning , after sometime ear sweats and also there is pressure around ears .. not advisable for a long duration trip
4. buttons in headset not working properly for iOS 8

Versatile, elegant, and a little sacrifice.

The audio quality is superb and even good using the bluetooth function. Now, I am not an audiophile, so keep this in mind as others may snub their noses.
The option of two different head band choices is a nice touch, but even the large took some time to I think mold to my head shape. After a very long session I do tend to get some ear fatigue, but usually that means it is time to get up and take a break anyways as it can be very long 6+ hour sessions.
These cans provide ample bass while still being able to hit clear highs when listening to more vocal music or crisp foot steps as I seek out an enemy in a video game.
Battery life is astounding, which was a big plus for me. I swap between wired and wireless, but worrying about a nagging battery is a huge pain and I never feel stressed to charge these up.
The design is fairly light, but the metal construction puts my mind at ease as far as not breaking them. Overall though the cans do have some plastic jostling noises upon moving or adjusting which stinks, but not that noticeable or very often do I hear it. Other than that the minimalist design has held up very nicely and I'm often rough on my stuff as I'm used to heavy automotive equipment.
One of the larger cons is that these come with no firmware/drivers/software. I'd really love some type of interface to connect these as Windows can be a pain to deal with.
If wireless is a must and you can grab them for sub $200 then I'd go for it.

Good but not durable

I had a pair of these for about 4 months. The sound is superb for bluetooth. And the microphone is very sensitive it picked up the tv while I was on the phone and it was clear on the other end. The only problem I had is that they broke where the ear cup connects to the band. I did not do anything ridiculous to them, they were in the bag in my brief case and when I pulled them out to go home they were broken. All around some of the best headphones I have ever had. I would have gotten another pair but I preferred the sound from the B&W so I purchased those instead.
