I Regret Buying This

Bought this monitor 2 weeks ago and was delivered in just a few days. I was expecting 144Hz as advertised but its stuck at 60Hz. The navigation buttons of the monitor are placed awkwardly at the back and do not line up with the OSD's up/down/enter location. Specifically, the on-screen display would show up on the bottom-right corner of the screen with the buttons supposedly to the right and behind the monitor but in reality its about an inch higher so its pretty much you have to feel and count the button's location - its very frustrating when you want to hit enter but hit power button instead so you have to do it all over again. Grrrr!!
Also, the monitor's brightness and contrast selections were greyed out which I don't think is the monitors problem but thought of mentioning it just the same.
Anyway, after troubleshooting as much as I could about the 60Hz (going as far a getting new DP cables in case that was the issue) I asked for support by the 3rd day of using it I contcted them via email bec it could just be a setting on my computer but the reply I got back was Warranty asking me to send them the serial #, pictures, etc. I did so and have not heard back in 6 days.
So one week of use, I want to return this thing. But gave it to a family member instead since they wanted a bigger screen to watch videos and 60Hz was not an issue. Still a Lenovo sale, I guess.
Lastly, I just wanted to say that this is my first purchase of a Lenovo item and wanted it to be good but sadly it fell short of expectation - product-wise and customer service-wise.
First impressions last and this one thing will forever be my impression of what Lenovo is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a nice looking monitor and has lift and tilt functions, which I really needed.
The controls on the back of the monitor take a bit of working out, and I found these a little cumbersome and lacking in some areas.
Lenovo provide a software tool to control the monitor which is much easier to use, but I found that my graphics card software gave the best experience when changing settings.

The monitor display is nice and bright, and the colours are good. I do have some light bleed on my monitor, but not that much that it bothers me.
One thing that does bother me though is a slight electrical noise, which I believe is called coil whine. This occurs only when playing graphically intense games, and is only noticeable when there is no sound.
Again, not so terrible, but it's distracting.

For the price of the monitor, and the fact that it is 144Hz, I would say that it's good value as an entry level gaming monitor.
For regular office work it's very good.

Lenovo Display Control Center software could not be installed. Error message indicated expired certificate embedded in the download package.
