[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is great but has a problem with the dual 32GB memory that makes a black screen when the laptop is open.

Almost the perfect laptop except for the battery

I required a laptop that was both high performance and lightweight. The X1 Carbon Gen 3 not only met my expectations but also exceeded them! The battery life is the only thing I can see causing an issue long term but it charged very fast. It just seems to lose charge when unplugged rather fast compared to my old laptop. The X230T that I have still has better battery life. This laptop would be perfect otherwise, but I’m reducing my review by one star because a $1500 range laptop should have a better quality battery and Lenovo dropped the ball there.

Powerful, great screen and still portable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Thinkpads both as IBMs and Lenovos for 20 years. I still have a 6 year old X1 Carbon as work laptop that has seen a lot of abuse and still lives. I just bought this X1 Extreme as my personal laptop for gaming and photo/video editing and so far it does not disappoint.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great computer. It is thin, only thing I would like improved is the battery life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great computer. Fast enough for what I do, hasn't crashed, fans don't run often. The soft surface seems to be improved over the coating that was used on the X1E Gen 2 that I had. Wonderful keyboard.
My only complaint, and I knew this going into the deal, is the stunning size of the bezels, especially that monstrosity along the bottom. I am writer and that clunky bottom bezel takes away at least an inch of my document. It doesn't have to be this way - but if you want a keyboard that you can comfortably use for hours with arthritis, then you have to accept the sucko display. If you don't care about the keyboard, look at the XPS17. Fabulous display, but it's like typing on a two by four.
I would recommend this to a friend!
