[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Laptop is generally pretty great, but the screen dimming functionality doesn't seem to work much at all. I think for most people that is a minor concern, but I have difficulty sleeping and need quite a bit of light reduction at night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am only 3 days into my new X1 Extreme Gen 3 but so far it is everything I expected from a Lenovo machine: rugged build, elegantly simple aesthetics, and with a keyboard to die for. This is my 4th ThinkPad going back to the early aughts with an unfortunate Dell in between one of them. I don't plan on straying again.

Fast SSD, stunning 4K OLED touchscreen, handles simultaneous demanding programs with ease, full-size SD card reader, and great ThinkPad aesthetics. If you're a student or working professional in engineering or design then this laptop is for you. At the same time, this is a great laptop for productivity. The only downsides in my experience are the battery life, fingerprint reader, and initially the price to purchase. The battery will depend on you. It's not really a problem with power saver settings. The fingerprint reader needs better recognition. Maybe it's just me, but the scanner hardly recognizes my finger. And for the price, this laptop is worth it. If you're good at making the best of products, the price shouldn't be a factor.
