[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop has everything you could want like top performance CPU, display, graphics, memory, and great storage as well. It also comes with that great ThinkPad keyboard and unsoldered RAM so you can potentially upgrade or add more in the future. The only minor issue is the finger smudges that easily appear on it after being used.

Works great after intermittent reboots stopped...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The X1 is a fantastic machine, deserves 5 stars except I have had some initial troubling crashes/reboots for no apparent reason. For context, I use the X1 as a desktop machine and plug it into the ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock. I have several USB devices connected to a hub that connects to the docking station (6 items, including 2 cameras, external microphone, wireless headphone, mouse and keyboard, and other peripherals ), I run dual monitors from USB-C port on the docking station, and ethernet into the docking station. The docking station is VERY HOT, and I had to move the USB dongle for keyboard/mouse to the laptop as the docking station simply was not working. All this has been fairly stable, but every now and again the laptop fan spins up and then the machine just reboots (and unfortunately I lose my current unsaved work). This is happened about 3 times the first month I had the laptop, but it has calmed down the second month so hopefully no more strange reboots.
The rest of the laptop is great, at least the stuff I have used. ThinkPad keyboard are always great to the touch, and while not the same feel as older models like the T480, it is fine. The laptop is extremely light which is great. I have not had a chance to use it on battery only yet, but I would guess it works about the same as other higher end laptops. My X1 has i9-10885H CPU @ 2.4Ghz, 32GB RAM and running Windows 10 Pro. Happy so far with purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t used it for very long, but I’m impressed with the size, upgrade ability, and screen (i only have the upgraded 1080p one. It’s very light compared to what I’m used to and still has more than enough capability than what I need for electrical engineering work. So far I’m impressed but only time will tell how it holds up.
