I recently purchased this unit and am so far super thrilled with the purchase. Originally we were concerned that it would be on the louder side, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is. The wash is very efficient lasting no more that two hours, during which the contents were thoroughly cleaned and dried.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great price but it leaks

Does what it’s supposed to do well

I am replacing a previous hot point dishwasher that I bought used, and then put another 12 years on it.
Chose this model because of the hot point brand and especially one of the least expensive dishwashers on the market. Consumer reports also rated this dishwasher four out of five stars. The five stars were three times as expensive.
Have only run the dishwasher so far three times but I am very happy with how clean and dry they come out. The only trick so far is to press the start button very lightly so that the green light comes on.
You can turn off the dishwasher after the cycle to save electricity and prevent the heating, otherwise don’t open it until the green light goes off and your dishes will be dryer. The big difference between this one and my old hot point is it is much much quieter and can run at night and not interfere with watching TV.
This model does not have any bells and whistles, and in fact, just has one button on the front panel.
For me, simpler is better. Have yet to see if it’s going to be as reliable as the old hot pint and time will tell.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive dishwasher though, this one looks like it fits the bill.
