Didn’t even make it 2 years

Product lasted a year and a half before the control board went bad. Cheaper to just buy something else than to fix. Won’t be going with GE again.

CHEAP & I DON'T MEAN PRICE!
on November 6, 2024

GARBAGE! Why have a dishwasher if u HAVE TO DRY THE DISHES BY HAND? Even when I do dry them with a dishtowel, I'll come back & it's still wet inside did 2 condensation! My apt gave me this BRAND NEW 2 replace a LG that was 100% better but had stopped drying! I'd rather have my old 1 back than this 1! There's a note on the door of mine that says, "DON'T USE UNLESS READY 2 DRY BY HAND"! Guys its really CHEAP so don't waste your time! I told my apt mgr DON'T ORDER ANY MORE OF THESE! 👎 I have video after using & 2 days after where it's still soaking wet but no way 2 upload it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear that your dishwasher isn't drying the dishes properly. It’s important that the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is at least 120 degrees. Lower temperatures can cause poor drying performance. You can find this information and further troubleshooting at this link below:

DO NOT GET. Does not have an drying option
on November 19, 2024

My apartment complex installed this new dryer , at first I was excited until I realized that it doesn’t have a drying option . Most of the time the dishes are still wet . I had an older version before and I liked it so much better . What’s the point of a dishwasher when you have to dry yourself

We want to help out with the dry option on your dishwasher. Your model does come with a heated dry cycle that runs automatically at the end of the washing cycle. If you want the best drying performance, we suggest opening the door at the end of the cycle to allow them to air dry.

Racks have rusted… and are now damaging dishes!
on April 18, 2025
Posted by: AboveTheBULL
At first, I liked this new GE dishwasher (model# GDF450PSR3SS). While inexpensive, it was quiet, efficient, and cleaned the dishes to a shine (even lasagna pans and slow-cooker pots). But after a month, it began to slowly become louder, although the cleaning continued more-or-less unaffected.
Well, a few months later, I started noticing little red rust marks inside many of the dishes and silverware. I'd find myself wasting a lot of time closely inspecting "washed" dishes and re-washing or polishing them as necessary by hand. Eventually, I took a magnifying glass to the inside of the dishwasher, looked closely at the tines of the top rack, and realized the very top of many of the tines were rusting! I really had to look closely to see this! I then looked over the bottom rack and noticed weird imperfections (that looked like little indentations) on both the topside of the rack and underneath. And even more of the rusty-tipped tines!
Turns out that any such tines that touched the dinnerware pieces would transfer a single red speck of rust to that location. Annoyed, I learned to place tall items over those tines, and loaded silverware in a way that kept them as far from those areas as possible. This seemed to work okay, at least for a short while.
None of that matters now. Both racks are now consumed with rust. Those little indentations I saw on the bottom rack are all bubbled up, opened and rusty. It's disgusting. And I'm disappointed.

The worst dishwasher I have every used.
on August 15, 2023
Posted by: Ariella
This dishwasher was newly installed by the seller in a home we just bought - never used all manuals inside. We thought this was a plus until we tried to use it. It's honestly the worst dishwasher I've ever had the misfortune of using.
First, the manual is garbage. It's general and not specific to any one model, so you don't get any really useful information about the model you have. Instead, there are a lot of features listed with the vague "(some models)" indicated, and at least 80% of them don't apply to this model, so good luck finding out what features your model actually offers.
I scanned the QR code, in the hopes of getting some actual info, to be greeted with a message that this dishwasher can connect to WiFi. This turned out to be only true if a separate connector is purchased, but it was virtually impossible to find this information.
The dishwasher itself does not feel sturdy or well-made. As soon as I opened the door I was concerned. The dw in our old unit is solid, but the door of this one is light and super flimsy. The racks are awkward, and things don't fit quite right in either.
Controls are the absolute minimum, so you can't customize anything aside from the wash settings: normal - heavy - 1 hour. Thanks to the awful manual and zero drying options in the controls, I had to do some research to discover that this model is actually supposed to dry. It absolutely doesn't.
It's not that the dishes come out slightly wet; they are all soaking wet. And even if you run the washer at night and don't unload the dishwasher until the next morning, the dishes are still SOAKING wet, like they've just been sprayed with water. The only things that weren't soaked when we tried this were the utensils, but even they were still not dry. It's amazing how poorly this model works. The actual drying options for this model are: towel, dishrack, leave the washer door open for several hours (maybe).
If you just want something to wash your dishes, while you do all the extra drying work, this is the model for you. It's really unfortunate that we now have to replace a brand new dishwasher, to get something that does the job properly.
We definitely won't be purchasing a GE product. GE clearly does not care about their brand reputation to be selling a product like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
