Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your GE dishwasher. We understand your concern, and we are happy to put your mind at ease.

Some water (standing water), usually one to two cups, remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher tub is normal. This water helps to keep the pump seal lubricated. Water should not be as high as the front of the center raised island in the bottom of the tub. If there is excessive water in the tub at the end of a cycle, you may have a draining issue. See article "Dishwasher does not drain" at the link below:

https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16240

If you should ever have an excessive amount of water in your dishwasher, we recommend that you schedule a service appointment with GE Appliances Factory Service Team. You can schedule an appointment by calling the Service Department directly at 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET, or by scheduling online at the following link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home!

Clean dishes

Rather disappointed in fact. Inside cabinet remains damp for days. But note that at least the dishes and table ware are dry.
We place a towel in the door to allow air to circulate and dry the inside.
The man that GE sent to us however was a man who knew his stuff. Much appreciation. He took the time to explain some details of our unit that will help us to work with the unit.

Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your new GE Appliances built- in dishwasher. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your dishwasher due to the tub being damp for days after use. Water settled in the bottom of the dishwasher (usually 1-2 cups) at the end of the wash cycle is normal. This water helps to keep the pump seal lubricated. Water should not be as high as the front of the center raised island in the bottom of the tub.

We are happy to hear that the GE Appliances technician was helpful and answered any questions or concerns you had. If you should ever have any questions on how to operate your dishwasher, please refer to the owners manual at the link below:

Very Noisy. Not sure that i like the way the bottom tray is set up. Rack is set up with way to many plate racks. It make it very hard to wash bowls or other large items.

Great Budget Option
on February 10, 2024
Posted by: Matthew1128
This item was purchased on a tight budget. Got on sale. The unit was relatively easy to install with no issues. I recycled the sound blanket from my old dishwasher, so the operation was nice and quiet. I have used it 3 times so far, and have always used the Heavy Duty cycle. The dishes came out perfectly clean each time, and completely dry. I saw some mixed reviews on bad drying capabilities, but I did not experience this with my unit when using the HD cycle, and when dishes and silverware were loaded properly per instruction materials. It possesses basic features, but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I find the more bells and whistles an item has, the more opportunity for things to fail. If you like “over engineered”appliances, you will probably be unhappy with this unit. I can not attest to reliability or longevity as it’s less than a month old, but hopefully it will last.
