I've been using these to store small power hand tools in. They hold up to the weight. They keep the moisture in my garage out of the tools and they don't crack or break even when dropped. I've used other brands with poor results. I have four that I've used for 5 years and just ordered more. They look nice too.

I buy the 10 gallon roughneck totes to store my canning jars and supplies in, I just love them!

This is the first time I have ever reviewed something online but I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with all of the other reviewers who are saddened by the discontinuation of Roughneck line of storage boxes. I have used them for all sorts of applications over the years. I particularly like their durability, flexibility (competitors' products are more brittle), stackability, and variety of colors. My wife and I always carry four or five of them when we go camping and have them color-coded for different types of equipment (blue box for dry foods, green box for cold weather clothing, red box for camera equipment, etc). They provide a great way to keep things handy and organized. On occasion, we have even used them as a makeshift table (see photo). Please consider bringing back this line.

I've had some of my roughneck totes for more than 20 years. Even the ones that finally have cracks in the lids still protect against bugs, moisture & weather.
Being military, both active & spouse, we move a lot! Those totes have made move after move. They are so great, my mother has taken some of mine & I need to more.
Please bring them back! I refuse to purchase anything else. Sterlite is garbage!

Frustrated!!!!

I love the Roughneck 18 gal. ! My family has been using them for over 30 years because they last!!! I have a project at work and I used an old one to see if it would fit on the shelf and it fits perfect!!! But I can't find them anywhere! I could use 20 to start my project but would probably end up with 40 of them! Other brands are poorly made or the size is all wrong!! Back to the drawing board.
