I don't know why all the local hardware stores have stopped carrying the 14 gallon size but I am so happy you still make them and I could purchase them direct.

For whatever poor reason, big blue and big orange have dropped this 14-gallon version. This one fits my shelves and storage plan. Good thing it's online or there'd have to be a new brand to look for.

I purchased this storage box to use as a litter box. My cat is "messy" and I needed something with full coverage. I cut out a hole for entry. The quality of the rubbermaid storage box felt strong and the handles were secure (which i need when lifting this to change litter).The lid isn't difficult to lock on nor to get off. Once locked on, it does feel secure. When I saw how nice these were, part of me didn't want to cut a hole in them and could see many other purposes for them.
