the sticker on the tote says virtually indestructible so i figured it would handle my stuff (rope, camping equipment etc.) but the quality is not so good you stack 3 or 4 and a month later they buckle and fall over. i am guessing your plastic formula has changed or you thin out your molds but they are not what they use to be. years ago if you bought a rubbermaid product you were going to have it a long time. now not so much. it is disappointing that everything these days is made so flimsy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good idea, poor lifespan

These products appear to be a great idea, tough and stackable. However, the lids are under-designed for the reality of their use. The lids are too thin and spontaneous crack and fissue readily after a couple of years. Even with lightly loaded containers filled with clothing. Once the lids crack the elements and insects can mingle with what you are storing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bought 8 of the over period of 3 years. The covers break easily if not opened carefully. Don't stake them because the covers can't support any weight. I have 6 bins with no covers. And you can't buy the covers separately.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The warranty covers defects in product material or workmanship when the containers are used in normal indoor household storage applications. The warranty does not cover usage in outdoor, commercial, institutional or industrial environments.

replacement lids

Good product but without the ability to purchase new lids makes the purchase worthless. Will not purchase another one.

I HAVE HAD OVER 20 OF THE ROUGHNECK BINS FOR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. THE LIDS CRACK EVERY YR AND I HAVE HAD MOST REPLACED THROUGH THIS WEBSITE. I WILL CONTINUE TO BUY AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO REPLACE THE LIDS. THE BINS ARE GREAT AND LAST TEN YEARS. THE LIDS HOWEVER DO NOT

Bought this to mix my salt for my reef tank, water leaks out very slowly but it leaks. Gotta stick with the Brute series.

Does Not Last! Cardboard is better and free.

I have 6 of these for 5-8 years. They have held Xmas decorations and camping equipment in the garage. Everyone is brittle, cracked and the lids are broken. They do not last with light use. Unacceptable. I am really sick of the garbage plastics used today.
